Chess

Life for me is a game of chess. Sometimes I am 'knight', gallivanting my way forward in unpredictable ways skipping a few milestones I am supposed to mark on my way. Sometimes I am 'rook', protecting the ones that are most important to me. Sometimes I am the 'king', which may sound like the best place I could be. However only an unfortunate few know how sad that feels when others have to take care of you. Simply because no matter how hard you try you barely make it further than one step in life. Mostly I am a 'pawn', sent out to the battlefield serving no vital purpose unless I reach the far ends of the social universe. Once in a blue moon there comes a chance when I am the 'queen'. Free to move in any direction and to any extent knowing what I want it just a heart beat away. The art of the game however does not rely on a single piece. It is the collaboration of all pieces moved according to a master plan. Life is not fair. That is why there are eight pawns and only one queen. But life can be won if I made maximum use of all pieces. After all pawns can be queens. I hope I’d live to see the day when I can say, check mate!

New Phase

My good friend says, "Life is a bunch of phases". He believes that when one doesn't follow what is required of a particular phase, he will be left out in the 'middle of the desert'.

He believes, the phase that we go through now, requires us to have missions and plans. If we don't, he says that we'll be "playing football without two goals".

This is my new phase. I have my goals ;) Do you?

Life Is An Echo . . .

the following is somethin I copied from somewhere...

A little boy, who in a fit of anger shouted to his mother that he hated her. Then, he perhaps fearing punishment, he ran out of the house to the hillside and shouted in to the valley, "I hateyou, I hate you, I hate you."

Back from the valley came the echo, "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you."

Somewhat startled, the little boy ran back into the house and told his mother there was a mean little boy in the valley saying he hated him. His mother took him back to the hillside and told him to shout, "I love you, I love you." The little boy did as his mother said and this time he discovered there was a nice little boy in the valley saying, "I love, I love you."

Life is an echo. What you send out - comes back. What you sow - you reap. What you give - you get. What you see in others - exists in you.

'because the power is not mine, I'm just gonna let it fly'

I learned that most of things that happen to me in life are totally out of my control. This past week was a perfect example!
I had to build this artifact as part of an assignment. I tried a hundred billion times, but it didn’t seem to work at all. All the time some silly error occurred and I was not able to progress. No matter what tactic I applied it somehow continued coming up with more silly unexplainable errors as if there was a ‘force’ compelling me not to finish it. My friends did not have an explanation either. I think they thought I was crazy. ( they probably think so all the time…)
Have you ever experienced such situations? Times that you know that you have no choice. You have your destiny decided for you. If something like that happens what would you do?
Here’s what I did. I thought since the power of choice is not mine, I’d rather let it fly…;-)

Learn to be still

It's just another day in paradise
As you stumble to your bed
You'd give anything to silence
Those voices ringing in your head
You thought you could find happiness
Just over that green hill
You thought you would be satisfied
But you never will-
Learn to be still

We are like sheep without a shepherd
We don't know how to be alone
So we wander 'round this desert
And wind up following the wrong gods home
But the flock cries out for another
And they keep answering that bell
And one more starry-eyed messiah
Meets a violent farewell-
Learn to be still

Now the flowers in your garden
They don't smell so sweet
Maybe you've forgotten
The heaven lying at your feet

There are so many contridictions
In all these messages we send
(We keep asking)
How do I get out of here
Where do I fit in?
Though the world is torn and shaken
Even if your heart is breakin'
It's waiting for you to awaken
And someday you will-
Learn to be still

equilibrium

Where there's no desire for happiness lies no sorrow. it is of all means the true equilibrium!
